<span style="font-family: georgia, serif"><span style="font-size: 16px">We see a deep garnet red in the glass, nice dark claret. The nose is complex with ripe cassis and raspberry aromas, as well as hints of spice and earth. The cool vintage allows the signature terroir of the Montelena Estate vineyard to show much more than in a warmer vintage. The palate is rich but soft with great varietal flavors like warm cassis and red berries and with a very polished and supple tannin structure. <strong><font size="3">(2 bottle limit)</font></strong></span></span>
2000 Montelena Est Cab Sauv 1.5 L

There is much fruit in the nose, not unexpected considering the excellent ripeness achieved in this vintage. 2003 Montelena Estate Cabernet 1.5 L
The wine is a typically bright ruby red, with opaque density and color, which leads to a nice array of aromas: sweet black currant jam, with hints of black cherry and flowers. There is much fruit in the nose, not unexpected considering the excellent ripeness achieved in this vintage. It is a very structured Cabernet from a great growing year, and it will greatly reward you after a few more years of cellaring.

The Montelena earthy-berry aroma is very concentrated, showing lovely, classic Cabernet, warm earth and sun baked cassis with licorice and spice.  On the palate there is integration of strong, deep, concentrated fruit in a perfect balance. Super fine tannin grips the palate, with ripe, round flavors that dance right on the seam between classic Bordeauxand Californiastyles.

Big fruit aromas of black cherry, bright red berries, and plums all lead into the barrel notes of toasty oak, vanilla, and smoky undertones. The palate entry opens smoothly and builds predictably with big, firm (but not coarse) tannin, good acid balance and lots of structure. There is a great progression from ripe, sweet cherry and plum fruit up-front to rich, dried black fruit and spice on the finish with the vanilla and spice from the barrel layering in seamlessly. For a young wine, it is already showing quite well and will continue to improve over the next 10 years. This wine is definitely trying to seduce you, enjoy!
2009 Napa Valley Cabernet 1.5 L

Pale golden color in the glass, with the faintest hint of green belying its youth, this Chardonnay opens with rich and intense aromas of lemon, lime leaf, citrus flowers, and a touch of honey before moving into spicy pie crust and a hint of mascarpone creaminess – all topped with a nice flinty finish. The citrus trend continues on the palate with a firm acidity and tropical star fruit. This wine has excellent mouthfeel with big full texture and a mouthcoating creaminess that nicely complements the white stone fruit (nectarine and peach) and slight green apple fruit flavors. On the finish, look for a pleasantly subtle marzipan nuttiness.&lt;
